God and Parents

Can a child get ahead materially without acknowledging his parents? Without being thankful to them?
Without giving them due respects? Without giving them due rights?

Yes.

Parents may ignore your hurtful words, forgive them and sometimes help you in your lows.

A human's relationship with God is the similar to his relationship with his parents.

One doesn't need to acknowledge the existence of God to get ahead materially.
